Cows for Kenya
Cows for Kenya is a program to reduce hunger and poverty among pastors and church workers in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kenya. We are Trinity Lutheran collect funds to buy a cow for a Lutheran pastor, evangelist or deaconess serving a Lutheran congregation and community in Kenya. The cow provides milk for the family to drink and sell. Offsprings can be part of a herd or sold to others for additional income. The increased financial stability allows the church professional to focus on the needs and demands of his ministry.
$300 buys a cow for a church worker. $300 is almost a year’s income to many of them. (If the purchase is for a hot and arid part of Kenya then a “desert cruiser” otherwise know as a camel would be purchased as a cow cannot survive in that climate).
